About Us
MBR Security was founded in 2007 by Mark Resnik. Mark also maintains the role of Chief Consultant. Prior to starting MBR Security, Mark spent 5 years at Whale Communication and Microsoft focused on IAG. Mark has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech and has been in the security product and services industry since 1995. Mark started his career with ANS Communications, the original internet company. At the time ANS had the only nationwide T3 backbone, and was the developer of the first commercial application firewall, InterLock. Mark worked both in a support and implementation role on the unix based InterLock and helped develop the InterManage managed firewall service based on InterLock and CheckPoint. His time with ANS spanned ownership by America Online, MCI, WorldCom, and an eventual merging into WorldCom's UUnet division. In his time at ANS, Mark expanded the implementation team from 1 to 6 engineers, and he and his team installed thousands of firewalls for hundreds of customers including many well known businesses such as Citicorp, Merrill Lynch, Amoco, Kraft, EDS, Pepsi, Texaco, and McGraw Hill. Mark then was brought onboard by Qwest Communications to help get their Nokia/CheckPoint managed firewall service (MFW) off the ground. Mark managed all of Qwest's MFW operations including support and implementation, and again built from the ground up and led a successful team to help him deploy firewalls for hundreds of customers. In 2002, Mark moved to Whale Communications. Starting in support and then moving to build and lead the Professional Services organization, Mark helped grow the Whale SSLVPN product from what was a niche product in a small SSLVPN market to one of the leading technologies in the emerging SSLVPN market. In 2006, Whale Communications, was purchased by Microsoft and after Whale closed its doors in 2007, Mark founded MBR Security. With Mark's broad experience in the security product and services industry coupled with his unique level of understanding of the IAG product, MBR Security is without a doubt the world's premier IAG reseller and provider of IAG consulting and training services.
